The Supreme Six-Shrimp Noodle is Easy to Make, But It's a Bit Tedious
After dinner, the servants bought back the river shrimp that Jonathan had instructed them to purchase.
They brought back two large bowls, and it was unclear how many pounds of shrimp were in them.
Mrs. Alana walked over and asked, "What are you going to do with all of this?"
Jonathan was picking out the shrimp roe and casually said, "Susie wants to eat six-shrimp noodles."
Mrs. Alana was stunned and looked at Jonathan suspiciously. Did he really want to make six-shrimp noodles? It was such a difficult dish to make!
Susie sat on a small stool beside them, watching Uncle Jonathan make the six-shrimp noodles.
The first step was to pick out the shrimp roe from the river shrimp, which wasn't particularly difficult, but it was a bit tedious.
Jonathan picked for ten minutes, and now everything he looked at appeared to be shrimp roe.
Susie ran out and soon returned with Martin, who had just finished a meeting, David, Michael, and Ryan, who was lying in bed, and Kellen, who was in his room reading a book.
Then...
The few Uncle Martins, whose hands were still shaking from doing a thousand push-ups in the morning, were forced to pick shrimp roe again.
In the kitchen, there was a constant clanging sound as the shrimp-picking spoons hit bowls, pots, and fruit plates in various postures. The sound of picking shrimp roe was different each time.
Susie also helped out, and Lucy, Zion, Wade, and Hamza joined the battle soon after.
Only Kellen's hand was both quick and steady, which made Susie constantly exclaim, "Dad is amazing!"
Kellen said calmly, "Of course."
When Clara came out and saw this scene, she was dumbfounded.
The brothers twisted their eyebrows, and Michael even looked ferocious.
Was picking shrimp roe really this painful?
Susie, Wade, and the other children were very cheerful, and sometimes children could be more meticulous than adults when doing things like this.
As for Kellen... well, let's not mention him.
With many hands, the work was finished in just over an hour.
"Next, we need to shell the shrimp," Jonathan said as he watched a video. "And then we can dig out the shrimp meat..."
The brothers looked at the two bowls of river shrimp, which probably contained several thousand shrimp, and fell silent.
Why did they have to make this dish when there were so many other things they could have made?
Jonathan said helplessly, "Clara wants to eat it."
He spread his hands and added, "And there's also deep-fried ice string, grilled honeycomb plums, and fresh salmon."
It was all because Clara wanted to eat it...
The brothers, who had originally planned to call the servants to help, began to shell the shrimp in silence.
Another hour passed.
The shrimp meat was finally prepared.
"Next, we need to dig out the shrimp brains," Jonathan said as the brothers gathered around and watched a video of a food blogger named Nan Xiang who was making a dish without using a backhoe.
Everyone was speechless.
Is this something that humans can do?
After boiling and blanching the shrimp heads, they started digging out the shrimp brains. It took them over an hour to finally dig out the brains of thousands of shrimps.
Susie held up her little hand and said, "My fingers are all wrinkled!"
Lucy exclaimed, "This is so fun!"
Hamza and Wade remained silent.
They had cleaned all the shrimp, and Jonathan picked up the pot and poured the shrimp roe into it. He stir-fried it over low heat until it turned orange-red and then dark brown. The shrimp roe was ready.
Next, they cooked the shrimp meat.
They put the peeled shrimp into boiling water, added scallions, ginger, and garlic to get rid of the fishy smell.
When the shrimp turned a nice red color, they took it out and the shrimp meat was done.
They stir-fried the remaining shrimp heads in the oil until they extracted the shrimp oil, one of the six flavors of shrimp.
Then they put the shrimp heads into a pot of water to boil and made shrimp soup.
They poured out all the soup, and stir-fried the remaining shrimp heads until they were completely dry.
They then put them into a blender and sifted the powder, mixing it with the dough and using a noodle maker to make noodles.
At this point, the uncles were all dumbfounded.
They looked dazed and moved mechanically.
Jonathan said, "Now it's simple. Put the shrimp oil in the wok, add the shrimp meat, shrimp brain, and shrimp roe, and stir-fry evenly."
"Boil the shrimp noodles, spread them out in a bowl, pour the shrimp soup over them, spread the stir-fried shrimp meat, shrimp brain, and shrimp roe on top, add a little shrimp oil, and sprinkle some green onion on top."
Finally, they had made six shrimp noodle bowls. The uncles looked at the small bowls and fell into deep thought. They had spent the whole day making only seven small shrimp noodle bowls, the kind that was used for serving appetizers.
Clara had one bowl, Susie had one bowl, Lucy, Zion, Wade, and Mrs. Alana each had one bowl.
The children ate with shining eyes, "This is so good! It's delicious!"
Susie said, "Uncle Jonathan, can we have another bowl?"
Jonathan remained silent.
Hands trembling…
Martin glanced at the small bowl next to him and whispered, "Has your mom eaten yet?"
Susie looked over to Clara, who was enjoying her shrimp noodles with a look of satisfaction on her face.
She said, "Yes! Mom said it's delicious!"
She waved her little hand to show Martin and the others Clara's enjoyment of the meal.
In the restaurant, several children were holding bowls and licking their lips, with Clara among them, holding her "bowl" and licking her lips, clearly not ready to stop eating.
Jonathan and his friends smiled and suddenly felt that everything they had spent on this day was worth it.
Michael said quietly, "Should we order a few more bowls?"
Jonathan hesitated.
Supreme six-shrimp noodles were easy to make, really easy.
It was just a bit expensive.
On average, one uncle was consumed per small bowl of six-shrimp noodles.
Jonathan stood up and said, "I'll go make some deep-fried ice cubes."
Clara raised her hand and said, "I want mine to have a milky flavor!"
Jonathan doted on her and said, "Okay."
Martin looked at videos on his phone and said, "I'll make grilled honeycomb coal."
Compared to six-shrimp noodles, this was much easier to make.
Ryan stood up and said, "I'll make salmon."
Who was more suitable to handle a knife than him?
Jonathan had already ordered high-quality salmon, which had been frozen for 24 hours to kill most of the parasites.
The sliced salmon was placed on ice and then sterilized with infrared radiation, ensuring that the salmon was both fresh and hygienic.
Mrs. Alana held her bowl and said nothing, just silently watching her brothers work tirelessly.
After spending the whole day cooking and preparing a table of food, although there were some tough dishes that were half-taught by Mrs. Ada, it was still admirable that they made everything themselves.
Almost all of it was what Clara loved to eat during her lifetime...
Mrs. Alana turned around, her eyes turning red.
In the evening, Paul, Cloud, and Judah also returned, and the whole family was together.
Clara was satisfied that day, all her regrets from her lifetime were filled by her loving brothers and her adorable daughter.
There were no more regrets.
"Tomorrow is July 14th, and I have to leave," Clara looked at the Murray family unwillingly.
The familiar staircase handrails, the familiar first-floor living room, and the familiar flowers and grass.
Her beloved little baby daughter, beloved brothers, beloved parents...
Really, she didn't want to leave...
